FIRST LADY

 

Mrs. Anastasia Richardson is the First Lady of the Emanuel Church of God in Christ  where her husband Elder Michael A. Richardson serves as Pastor. Mrs. Richardson has been happily married to Elder Michael A. Richardson for over 41 years.  They currently have no biological children but has one special daughter (Danielle Gipson).  They have many nieces, nephews and godchildren. 
 

Mrs. Anastasia Richardson was born in Chicago, IL but at a very early age she moved to Memphis, TN where she lived until she became an adult.   She graduated from Treadwell High School and attended Shelby State Community College.  Mrs. Richardson has worked for The Attorney General Office of Consumer Fraud, Bank of America and Ashley's Quality Care, Inc. She is currently employed part-time at University of Chicago.

Mrs. Anastasia Richardson is a licensed Evangelist Missionary.  She has been a member of the Emanuel Church of God in Christ for over 39 years, which was founded by the late Bishop Christopher C. Owens. She is intricately involved at every level in her Church organization.  During the pastorate of Bishop C. C. Owens, she served for over 10 years as Youth Leader, Pastor’s Anniversary Captain and on numerous committees.  Presently at Emanuel, she currently serves as Chief of Staff, Women’s Department President, Finance Team Advisor and helps with the media team.

 

She served for two years as the Assistant District Missionary to District Missionary Rosie Martin in the Lakeshore District of the Southern Illinois Jurisdiction.  She also served as one of the secretaries in the Women’s Department of the Southern Illinois Jurisdiction.

Currently, she serves as the District Missionary to Superintendent David A. Reed in the D.A Reed Sr. District in First Jurisdiction Illinois.  She serves as the Web Master and on the Finance Team for First Jurisdiction Illinois. She also serve as a committee member for First Jurisdiction Illinois Women's Workshop.   In the National Church, she travels each year as a red card delegate to the Women’s International Convention.

The church has always been an integral part of her life.  As a young adult living in Memphis, Tennessee, she worked for Bishop & Mrs. W. L. Porter at Greater Community Temple Church of God in Christ (Memphis, TN) where she received her start in church business administration and where she began working actively in the church.

In her spare time, Mrs. Anastasia Richardson enjoys reading, shopping, working with electronic gadgets and getting together with friends.  She loves spending time with her husband!
